Jay is groovy

I will 100% use all these techniques because rn, my drumming is way to begginery and the stuff I'm practicing really doesn't help me much with the style I want, if you know what I mean... Like I want to be more metal, but at the same time I want to take it slow at first. But yeah, these techniques will def be usefull! Ps: the sad truth is that yeah, eloy will probably be fired sooner or later from Slipknot, because apparently there always seems to be drummer drama one way or another, creative reasons or straight up bullshit reasons.

I have strong hands, I've been in construction the majority of my life. I work with my hands. I work with tools nearly everyday. I recently started drumming, and usually about 20 minutes into practicing, My sticks will just fly out of my hand while I'm in the middle of a beat. Is that normal? Do I need to tape my sticks or something like that? Somebody here's got to know, thanks for the video 😊

Sorry for the honesty, but Jay never had the power or precision needed, also, his double bass was sloppy and inconsistent. Finally a drummer who can honor Joey's legacy.

I think you are complexing too much, as humans tend to do, although those clues might help, those two drummers are simply better, they are extraordinary drummers, principally Jay Weinberg, that I deem much better than Joey Jordison, Jay Weinberg is simply better than the rest, and he has unique characteristics like a unique touch that I adore, something that's probably imanent to him, his touch on the drums is almost ineffable, it's light, delicious, yet it's strong, it even seems a paradox, and other delicious characteristic is that he's frequently ahead of time, he's so fast and sophisticated, he pushes the whole music forward, it's beautiful!

I spent the last 3 and a half years studying with Eloy Casagrande here in Brazil (I was his longest time student) and I'm sure he's more than the next Joey, he'll be the best ever.

I never was a fan of slipknot. It had to with the drummers they’ve had. As a very young drummer I played Hispanic/Mexican genres with the family band. Then I heard Black Sabbath and a lot changed for my playing. IMHO Eloy’s playing is WORLDS beyond what slipknots prior drummers could try and do. I’m interested in what Eloy will do for slipknot. And now… I expect the haters who will disagree with my comment, to throw their hate. Aaaand go!!!

energy is a huge huge part and im glad you brought that up because that was always my reasoning to why Jay got fired. I feel like he wasn't in it anymore and yeah his drumming is the best part of the of the new songs especially the new album, I just feel like his on stage presence is no longer there
